Well, my 3 year old’s daughter’s last fish (we started with 3) named Solo, finally ate his last fish food.
He was found a few days ago by my daughter, sucked into the filter. RIP Solo.
It was quite traumatic for her. She asked over and over again where he went, did he have a boo boo, was he going to the doctors. But she is over it now and we have 2 new Solo’s, who have been given weird names like Pella and Mella. My daughter has a very good imagination.
She is very interested in what happens to people when they get hurt. My husband, R, had a doctor’s appointment a few days ago and she asked him if the Doctor was going to drill a hole in his head and fix him. What ??? No, we don’t let her watch horror films….I have no idea where this came from! I had a dentist’s appointment on the same day and she asked me if he was going to take all my teeth out!! Yikes.
In other news, my 10 month old daughter, L2, I think said “Kitty” yesterday. It was very exciting!! (I know.. try to curb your enthusiasm). This is her first word other than the usual “mama” and “daddy”. She says “daddy” all the time but I have only heard “mama” about twice. I’m sooooo jealous of my hubby. I keep trying to get her to say it but she is sticking to her guns and she is not going to do it anytime soon. But I’m sure someday I will look back at this time and feel it’s a blessing….right now my 3 year old must say “‘mama” about 3,451 times a day. Some days, I feel like changing my name!!
In other exciting news, I got my first cast iron skillet yesterday and used it today!! I made steak in it and smoked the entire house up…..it was wonderful!! I highly recommend it.
Well, I’m off to watch today’s episode of The Young and the Restless that I PVR’ed today.
